Watecolor on arches paper artwork by Manish Sutaar
30 X 22
"Gandhiji Watching from Heaven"—two empty chairs stand as silent witnesses. Gandhiji observes from above, his gaze contemplative, as if questioning the unresolved tension between them. The chairs could symbolize many things: two ordinary individuals, opposing political ideologies, the divide between wealth and poverty, or even the lingering consequences of human actions—what unfolds after I am gone? The ambiguity invites reflection on unity, conflict, and the legacy we leave behind.
